Privacy Policy
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. Your dimensions, prices and project details are never sent to us, because there is no server to send them to.
What we do not collect
MaterialMath is a static website. There is no backend, no database and no API. Everything a calculator computes happens in JavaScript on your own device. That means:
- We never see the dimensions you enter.
- We never see the prices you enter.
- We never see the materials lists you generate, print or download.
- There are no accounts, no logins and no email capture on this site.
Once a page has loaded, the calculators work offline. You can disconnect from the internet and they will continue to work, which is the clearest possible demonstration that nothing is being transmitted.
Local storage
Each calculator saves your last-used inputs in your browser's
localStorage, along with whether you prefer imperial or
metric units. This is so the tool remembers your settings the next time
you visit.
This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere and we cannot read it. You can clear it at any time by pressing the Reset button on a calculator, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Server logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic statistics. We do not use this data to identify individuals. Cloudflare's handling of this data is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising
This site does not currently display advertising. When advertising is introduced, this section will be updated before it goes live to describe exactly what is served, by whom, and how to opt out.
Affiliate links
This site does not currently use affiliate links. When it does, they will be clearly disclosed wherever they appear, and this section will be updated first.
Analytics
We do not currently run any third-party analytics script. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the provider and describe what is collected before the script is added.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Any cookies present come from the third parties described above — the host, and advertising or affiliate partners where those are enabled. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting how the calculators work.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, this is largely academic, but it is stated for completeness.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you.
We hold no personal data about you. The data your browser holds is in your own local storage and under your own control. For anything relating to server logs or advertising cookies, contact the relevant third party directly, or write to us at hello@estimatormath.com and we will help where we can.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — particularly if we introduce advertising, analytics or affiliate links — we will update this page and change the date below before the change takes effect.
